CPO reviews security of parks, markets in Rawalpindi

Rwalpindi - City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi yesterday visited educational institutions, parks, markets and bazaars to review security arrangements.
During the visit, the CPO checked the security arrangements and briefed the cops and other security guards about the ongoing law and order situation of the country. He also held meetings with traders’ representatives.
According to details, CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi along with police teams visited Jinnah, Ayub and Nawaz Sharif Parks, markets including Mithu Khan Aahata, shopping malls and Pir Mehar Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and reviewed security arrangements there. He advised the traders and management of parks and university to improve their own security to tackle with any untoward incident. “Police are also fully prepared to guard the lives and property of people,” he said.
CPO Israr along with elected representatives of traders also visited different areas of cantonment and held meetings with traders. He ordered station house officer (SHO) of police station Cannt Javed Khan to beef up security of traders and markets in his jurisdiction.
On the other hand, Saddar Bairooni police lodged a case against a 32-year-old man and arrested him on charges of resorting to aerial firing after drinking alcohol.
According to details, a large number of residents of Munawar Colony phoned Rescue 15 that a man namely Usman has been resorting to aerial firing with a pistol outside their houses after drinking alcohol. Taking action, SHO Saddar Bairooni Malik Muhammad Yar arrested the accused and registered a case against him.
