RAWALPINDI - A committee has been constituted on the directives of Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to monitor prices of kitchen items in Ramazan Bazaars and ensure the provision of Sehri and Iftari to the needy people at Ramazan Dasterkhawans, informed officials of DCO office here on Sunday.. The DCO, Imdadullah Bosal would be the convener of the committee while PML-N MNA Hanif Abbasi, MPAs Raja Fayaz Sarwer, Chaudhry Muhammad Ayaz, Ziaullah Shah and Sheryar Riaz, District Officers of Revenue, Labour, Social Welfare, Livestock and the office-bearers of Anjuman-e-Tajran, Poultry Association and Karyana Merchant Associations would be its members. The DCO, while talking to media men, said that the committee would ensure the supply of essential commodities to the consumers at fixed prices and would also ensure the provision of atta, sugar, ghee, and dal channa on the subsidised rates at truck points. He said that the number of Itwar Bazaars as well as Ramazan Bazaars had been increased from 15 to 17. He pledged that City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) would leave no stone unturned to provide commodities to the consumers constantly on subsidised rates during Ramazan.
