LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer, Pervez Rathore has said that concrete steps would be taken to improve the structural condition of the all police stations in the City. He said citizens of Lahore would be provided a friendly atmosphere in the police stations so that they do not have to face any impediment regarding registration of their complaints. The CCPO said in accordance with the vision of Khadam-e-Ala Punjab, educated police officials would be deputed at police stations to bring about positive change in Thana Culture and to ultimately transform every Thana into a Model Police Station. He called upon the police to treat all visiting plaintive in police stations as their family members. According to a police handout issued on Sunday, the CCPO was presiding over a meeting held to review structural improvement of City Police Stations. During the briefing, the CCPO was informed that there are total 77 Police Stations in the city, out which 32 are in new buildings, six in old buildings, nine in dilapidated buildings, 14 in rented buildings, whereas 16 police stations are situated in the buildings of the other departments.
