Kidnapped girl reaches shelter home, wants action against den

SIALKOT - The Child Rights Committee SPARK, on Monday, provided shelter to a 14-year-old girl Sonia at Shelter Home Sialkot, as the girl reached here after escaping from a brothel in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Talking to the newsmen here, she said that she had been kidnapped in her childhood by accused Chheeno and her husband Akram and she was taken to a brothel being run there near Chowki Adda. The girl said that she did not know the whereabouts of her family, house or city, as she was too little when she had been kidnapped. She further said that she was forced for prostitution there but she kept her safe and faced atrocities of her kidnappers, who were the owners of the said brothel. The female staff of Shelter Home Sialkot told the newsmen that Sonia has several burn wounds marks on her body, as she was regularly given electric shocks on her refusal to adopt evil ways. She said that she was also kept chained with 13 other young girls there. She demanded quick police action against the said den. District Coordinator Child Rights Committee Sialkot Muhammad Arslan Khan announced to provide her free legal aid. An old woman Saleema Bibi (52) was killed by some unknown persons with repeated attacks of bricks, as the accused threw the body along the bank of Marala-Ravi-Link (MR Link) near Motra-Daska. People found the body and informed the police. According to the doctors, some unknown accused killed her with repeated attacks of bricks and hammers on her head. They said that the body was three days old. President NGO 'Young Blood Foundation Daska Tanveer Ahmad Mughal told the newsmen that the accused had also left a chit with the body having the name and address of the woman. According to that chit, the name of the slain woman was Saleema Bibi (52), wife of Inayat Ullah, resident of village Adalatgraha-Uggoki, Sialkot. Police have started investigations with no arrest in this regard. Police also shifted the body to Daska DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
