Police fail to retrieve school land

DASKA - Police have failed to retrieve as many as six kanals of land of local Govt Primary School in village Ram Raayiaan Khurd-Daska, which was illegally occupied by an influential, Muhammad Boota. The accused has turned the ground into cattle shed. The sources said that in July, Sadr police had registered a case against the culprit one month back on the report of DDO (Education) Ashfaq Ahmad but failed to take arrest him. When contacted the police officials concerned averted to give any comment in this regard. RAIN IRKS PEOPLE, INUNDATES LOW-LYING AREAS Heavy rain on Monday has inundated all the low-lying areas of the city due to which power supply remained suspended for several hours in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils. The rain began early on Monday morning and remained continued till the filling of this report. The rainwater accumulated on Kutchery Road, Paris Road, Abbot Road, Jail Road, Railway Road, Mujahid Road, Commissioner Road, Allama Iqbal Chowk, Khadim Ali Road, Sialkot Airport Road and Hajipura Road and created problems for citizens. Meanwhile, MET office has forecast more rains in all the catchment areas of neighbouring Occupied Jammu & Kashmir during the next 24 hours. However, there is no chance of more floods in the area, the sources said.
