LAHORE - Due to scattered rain, worst traffic jam was observed on the leading arteries of the provincial capital on Monday. Severe traffic mess was witnessed on The Mall from Punjab Assembly to General Post Office (GPO) Chowk. Traffic wardens seemed trying their best to restore the traffic flow but to no avail. Dozens of vehicles including ambulances were stuck in traffic jam, an eyewitness said. The traffic also remained suspended at Youhanabad where a truck turned turtle. Long queues of traffic created serious problems from the commuters. Meanwhile, the DIG City Traffic Police Tariq Masood Yaseen directed the traffic wardens to maintain traffic flow properly. He also disclosed that Iftari was being provided to the wardens deployed on various points in the City.
