LAHORE - The Lahore High Court was gripped by panic on Tuesday when a phone caller told about the presence of an explosive-laden vehicle on the court premises to the security staff of the LHC. The information later on proved hoax. As per details, the Lahore High Court Security Incharge received a phone call at about 11:30am from one Umsan who stated himself as member of the banned organisation, Tehrik-e-Taliban, and informed the officer that a van laden with highly explosive material has entered the court premises and would hit the target soon. The information put the whole security on high alert while a panic rolled down everywhere the news reached. The Bomb Disposal Squad was called which accordingly rushed to the court premises and started search operation without wasting any time. After searching every nook and corner of the premises, the Squad cleared the premises as safe and the phone call proved a hoax. It may be mentioned here that during the current summer vacation in the LHC, not much public and litigant activity is seen in the court. However the litigant public and court staffers appeared visibly scared as long as the search operation was carried out outside and inside the court premises.
