LAHORE -  A boy shot dead his newly-wed sister at their house in Raiwind area, police said on Friday. The killer is at large, investigators say.
Father of the decedent told the police that his son shot down Shagufta Bibi, 22, after they exchanged harsh words. According to her father, the decedent arrived at her parent’s home just three days before the day she was murdered.
He said the boy got infuriated and opened fire on his sister over the possession of a cellular phone. The police reached the spot and removed the body to the morgue for autopsy. A murder case has also been registered against the boy on the complaint of his father.
Separately, a man shot dead his brother-in-law in Shadbagh area and fled away Thursday night. The family of the decedent said that Qasim killed his brother-in-law Arshad in revenge as the decedent used to torture his wife over domestic issues. The police are investigating.
