Shopping Festival body meets

LAHORE - Lahore Shopping Festival Coordination Committee formed by the Chief Minister Punjab met here on Friday and discussed in detail all the arrangements for the Festival. The meeting, presided over by MNA Pervaiz Malik, remained in session for well over two hours and feedback of various government departments was taken into consideration.
LCCI President Farooq Iftikhar, Vice President Mian Abuzar Shad, Secretary Industries Irfan Ali Sheikh, SP Traffic Azhar Shah, SP Security Abdul Ghaffar Qaiserani and representatives of Provincial Information Department, Excise and Taxation and PHA discussed beautification, security and advertisement related issues.
It was also decided that the lighting on the city canal and decorative gates would by established by the Horticulture Department while the sponsors of the various events of the Lahore Shopping Festival would be asked to display streamers on various city roads. To give festive look to the City the PHA would act proactively and to keep the flow of traffic during the festival.
, the traffic police would make special arrangements in and around the event site.
All the provincial departments pledged to extend maximum support the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the success of the Lahore Shopping Festival.
