LAHORE - Entry test for admission in engineering institutions for BSc Engineering and BS Technology was held at 12 examination centres on Sunday. Over 44,000 candidates appeared in the test for about 2200 seats at UET and affiliated institutions. The results will be uploaded on UET website on August 28.

The exams were held at University of Engineering and Technology Main Campus Lahore, UET Kala Shah Kaku Campus, International Islamic University Islamabad, College of Engineering & Technology Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology Multan, College of Engineering Islamia University Bahawalpur, NFC Institute of Engineering and Fertilizer Research Faisalabad, Government College of Technology Rasul, and Dr AQ Khan Institute of Technology Mianwali.

UET Vice Chancellor Dr Fazal Ahmed Khalid visited different centers on Sunday. Talking to the journalists, he said 100 seats have been increased this year. The university was approaching Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Engineering Council with the proposal of centralized entry test for ensuring same merit across the country, he added. He further said measures were taken to ensure secrecy and transparency of the test.

The test was conducted in a peaceful environment and no untoward incident was reported, he told the media.
