LAHORE - Provincial Ministers Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Chaudhry Sher Ali, Bilal Yasin, Syed Haroon Sultan Bukhari, Malik Iqbal Channar, Atta Muhammad Maneka, Khalil Tahir Sandhu, Dr Farrukh Javed, Hameeda Waheed Uddin, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, Parliamentary Secretary Information & Culture Rana Arshad Jutt and Member Provincial Assembly Zaeem Hussain Qadri have expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Provincial Minister for Counter-Terrorism Col (r) Shuja Khanzada.

The ministers expressed the resolved that the present leadership would continue the war against terrorism and the name of Col (r) Shuja Khanzada would be written in gold letters for his services for the elimination of terrorists.

In their separate condolence messages, they prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant strength and courage to bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

Meanwhile, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, President Punjab PPP, expressed his deep sense of shock and grief over the passing away of Col (r) Shuja Khanzada in a suicide attack on Sunday in his native town.

He condemned in the strongest terms the coward act of today and said that such abhorrent activities of terrorists would not weaken the resolve of the nation rather strengthen it to defeat terrorism and extremism thoroughly.

Wattoo added that the nation and the military leadership were on the same page to defeat the scourge under the National Action Plan adding the people of Pakistan would spare no effort to root out the menace.

He recalled that the PPP was the worst hit Party of terrorism as it took away their leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and the nation was deprived of a very popular and most courageous leader.

He said that the PPP had been in favor of taking on terrorists on their Aturf right from the beginning because they were neither human beings nor Muslim.
