rawalpindi - Rawalpindi Cantonment Board staff launched fumigation in various areas to avert spread of dengue virus.

According to RCB spokesman, aggressive approach is being adopted this year to cope with the situation and fight against dengue virus in an effective manner. On the instruction of the CEO Faheem Zafar Khan special steps are being taken to control dengue in the cantonment area.

He said that all possible precautionary measures to control dengue virus would be taken. A campaign to conduct anti-dengue spray in all cantonment areas has been started, which will continue till the threat of the disease, is over.

He said a large number of tyres have also been confiscated and tyre shops have been fined with the warning that uncovered and unpacked tyres, new or used, should not be displayed.
