LAHORE - DCO XI and DPO XI have played a draw in the Gen Raheel Sharif Azadi Football Cup match played at Railway ground Mandi Bahauddin.

Mandi Bahauddin District Football Association & District Management Mandi Bahauddin organised the event presided over by DFA coordinator for Mandi Bahauddin Irfan Babar. The event was inaugurated by DCO Mandi Bahauddin Muzaffer Khan Sial. After the match, prizes and shields were distributed by the joint chief guests PFA president Sardar Naveed Haider Khan and AC Mandi Bahauddin Shabbir Hussain Chemma. PFF manager club development and media Shahid Khokhar was also among the guests who distributed the prizes and shields among the top players.

Other prominent guests who were present there were Mirza Amjad, Hamza Ghauri, Waheed Gujar, Madam Sabiha Khanum, Arshad Jutt, Shaikh Owais, Sajjad Tarrar, Zahid Khan, Hakim Nazeer Ahmed, Mandi Bahauddin Press Club president Khan Zaheer Ahmed Khan, Masood Khan and Ameer Akram Moon.

Sardar Naveed appreciated the efforts of Irfan Babar and his team and said: “The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and Punjab Football Association (PFA) will make all efforts to promote young football talent in Mandi Bahauddin at provincial, national and international levels.” He also announced to appoint Irfan Babar as associate secretary in the PFA.

A press briefing prior to the event was also held where cake was cut to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day.
