LAHORE - Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and Member National Assembly Hamza Shehbaz Sharif has said service to the ailing humanity is a source of success in this world and the world hereafter.

He said practical assistance to children especially suffering from diseases was our collective responsibility and encouragement of non-government organizations working in this sector should continue.

Hamza Shehbaz gave a cheque of five crore rupees to Munoo Bhai for Sundas Foundation, an institute providing medical facilities to thalassaemia patients on behalf of the Punjab government and said Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had honoured his promise and added the Punjab government will continue to provide all-out assistance to the children suffering from thalassaemia in future as well.

He said the Sundas Foundation was rendering invaluable services for the children suffering from thalassaemia which gave substantial relief to the patients.

Hamza Shehbaz said transfusion of blood on permanent basis was a sensitive matter and all its medical aspects should be kept in view. He appreciated the patronage of the institution by Munoo Bhai and assured all possible cooperation to him.

Speaking on the occasion, Munoo Bhai thanked Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for the grant. He said Sundas Foundation had been rendering services in thalassaemia since 1998 and at present, 5000 registered children of nine cities were provided free blood twice a month.

Munoo Bhai lauded the efforts of the Punjab government in this noble cause.
