A conductor pushed to death a class 6th student from a moving bus on Qutub Shahana Road at Comprehensive. The police have arrested the conductor.

The incident incited thousands of students to protest who blocked the road, ransacked buses and attempted to set it on fire.

The bus (FDU-8776) owned by a private transport company, was coming from Faisalabad. On Chowk Qutub Shahana Road, students from Chak 56/GD got onto the bus for school. The bus when reached Government Comprehensive School chowk, conductor Muhammad Yousaf Kamyan pushed a student from the moving bus. The student fell down and crushed under wheels of the bus.

Following death of the student, thousands of students started protest and blocked the road, demanding stern action against the bus driver and conductor. A large number of police personnel reached the spot and brought the situation under control. They assured the protesting students that the bus driver and conductor would be arrested and brought to the book.

Later, the Farid Town Police arrested the conductor and registered a case. The driver, however, is still at large.
