ISLAMABAD – Tayyab Aslam lost the quarterfinals of the $5000 Shepparton International Squash in Melbourne, Australia. Tayyab was seeded second in the event and was expected to play at least final, but he was upset by fifth seed Dougie Kempsell by 3-2. Tayyab took the first game 11-7, but lost next two games 8-11, 8-11. Tayyab then bounced back and took the fourth game 12-10. In the fifth and deciding game, Tayyab was completely outclassed by Kempsell, who won the game 11-5 to book semifinals berth. Pakistani players’ performance both at junior and senior level is going down with each passing day, but there is no one who may seek answers from the federation. The players, squash lovers and past greats are looking at PSF president Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman to streamline squash affairs.
