‘Investment facilitation centre to be set up in Peshawar’

PESHAWAR   -   President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Sherbaz Bilour on Monday said that investment facilitation centre would be established in collaboration with relevant government departments at Chamber House, and termed it as first step towards promotion of e-commerce, ease of doing business (EoDB) that would help resolve issues, of traders’ community, under one roof. 

He expressed grave concern over the issuance of tax-notices, imposition of heavy fines and illegitimate crackdowns on factories, markets, shopping centres and harassment of traders. 

Talking to members KP Minister Atif Khan said that the government has set a target of 1.1 million metric ton wheat procurement to fulfil the food requirements of the province. 

He assured that he would take the SCCI demand with the Chief Minister regarding provision of a special fiscal relief package for the Covid-19 hit traders.
