The political families are launching their sons and daughters to keep the political power in their families and protect the status quo. In the land of the pure, politics has become most lucrative family business. Since Pakistans 40% voters are between the age of 18 to 35 years, these new political leaders sons and daughters have been launched to attract young voters with false promises and hopes, the arts which their elders has mastered. The Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani has launched his two sons and daughters into politics. The Nawaz Sharif has launched her daughter to head the women wings of PML-N and Shahbaz Sharifs son is already member of the National Assembly. The former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qurashis son Zain will be contesting the election on the seat (NA-148) vacated by his father. Dr. Zulifqar Mirzas son will be contesting by election on the seat of his father vacated in Sindh Provincial Assembly from Bedin. Moonis Elahi heir of Chaudhries of Gujrat family is a member of Punjab Assembly. And Prime Ministers son Qadir Gilani is member of the National Assembly. Moonis Elahi and Qadir are already tainted with corruption charges, but as corruption is no more considered unethical or immoral in this country, they are likely to be the future political leaders. The prevailing election system, protect the dynastic politics and encourage the constituencies based candidates election. The majority of seats in the National and Provincial Assemblies are from the rural area of the country. Where majority of voters are illiterates, poor, who are depending on feudal lord for their livelihood. These new generation politicians do not seem to have the vision of future direction that nation must take and the goal that it must aim for? Did they have a deep comprehension of the historical and cultural ethos of the nation and an understanding of the regional and international environment within which they have to operate? Are they able to inspire the nation through persuasion and personal conduct? Do they have the leadership skills to guide the military and civil bureaucracy to the realization of the national aims and objectives through the adoption of appropriate polices in various fields? Leaders are made not born but unfortunately in our country only a certain class of people rule. These young politicians might be well equipped with the education but as we have seen they lack worthwhile experience, moral integrity or any natural talent that could get the country going in the right direction.
