SARGODHA - The Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat took out a rally on Sunday. Hundreds of people participated in the rally on their vehicles including bikes and cars.

The rally was led by Maulana Muhammad Akram Toofani, Qari Abdul Waheed, former MNA Malik Aslam Katcheela, Maulana Noor Muhammad Hazarwi, Mufti Shahid Masood, Mufti Shahid Masood, Haider Ali Haider and Jahangir Haider.  The speakers said that the government should refrain from making any amendment in Toheen-e-Risalat Act else the rulers would face severe reaction. They also condemned the sacrilegious film made in the US and termed America the biggest terrorist in the world. The rally commenced from the Khatam-e-Nubuwwat Academy and concluded after marching through main roads and bazaars of the city.

12 COPS FACE THE MUSIC: Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Rizwan awarded punishments to 12 police officers on different charges. In the orderly room, the SSP expressed his displeasure and dissatisfaction over the replies given by one inspector, five sub-inspectors and six assistant sub-inspectors.  Inspector Mirza Siddique was awarded punishment of reduction in pay by two stages; SI Shahid Sultan suffered forfeiture of two years of service; SI Muhammad Akram and ASI Dilbar Hussain were fined Rs2,000 each; SI Umar Hayat, SI Khuda Bakhsh's promotion was withheld for one year, ASI Muhammad Rafique and ASI Ijaz Ahmad faced stoppage of increment of three months; and SI Khuda Bakhsh, ASI Mulazim Hussain, ASI Khizar Hayat, and ASI Nasarullah were awarded minor punishment of censure.
