BAJAUR AGENCY - Security forces, with the help of local peace committee, arrested five militants and recovered weapons and arms during a joint search operation in different parts of Salarzai and Mamond tehsils of Bajaur Agency on Sunday.
Houses of the two militants were also demolished in the operation.
According the officials sources the security has received information about the presence of some militants in the various border villages of Salarzai and Mamond area and after that the security forces and the volunteers of the peace committees have conducted joint search operation in the areas.
An official of the security forces told reporter here at Khar that five militants were arrested while large numbers of weapons arms and explosive devices have also recovered during the search operation. “The aims of the militants were terror activities in the area but the forces and the volunteers have foiled the plan on time,” the official said. The official said that the houses of the two militants were also demolished during the search operation, while the officials did not disclose the name of those militants or the name of the detained militants that arrested the search operation.
