LAHORE – The Sabzazar police claimed to have killed suspected robber on Sunday, bringing the shootouts toll to 351.
The police said two robbers fled after snatching cash and motorcycle from a citizen, Awais who called for help from lawmen.
SHO Hussnain Haider led a squad launched a hunt for the robbers and encountered with them near the crime site, said police, adding that the outlaws fired shots at the raiding cops and the attack was repulsed, injuring one of them.
The wounded was shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
According to police sources, the deceased was in custody. However, Sadar Division SP Adeel Hussain Chandio refused to comment.
