Shutterdown strike in Nushki against kifnappings

QUETTA - A driver was kidnapped in Bolan district on Sunday while a shutter-down strike was observed in Nushki against kidnapping for ransom incidents.According to Levies, unidentified armed men intercepted a truck in Baghnari area of Bolan and kidnapped driver Muhammad Khan at gun-point.Levies after getting information rushed to the site and started a search in the area to recover the kidnapped driver. “The incident seems to be a case of kidnapping for ransom,” Levies officials said. However, nobody has demanded for ransom so far.Meanwhile, a complete shutter-down strike was observed in Nushki against the kidnapping of a student Riaz Ahmed Badini and increasing incidents of kidnapping for ransom in the province.Unidentified armed men had kidnapped Riaz Ahmed resident of Nushki from outside University of Balochistan Quetta few days back and according to family sources of Riaz, the kidnappers were demanding Rs 100 million ransom for his release.All shops, markets and business centers in Nushki remained closed in the City throughout the day.Dozens of relatives of Riaz Ahmed staged a demo outside Quetta Press Club against the kidnapping of Riaz and demanded for his immediate recovery and stern action against kidnappers.
