LAHORE – District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal on Sunday said that CDGL was utilising all its resources to facilitate citizens and to provide them quality products on cheap rates at Sunday Bazaars.

He expressed these views while paying a surprise visits at Shadman, Wahdat Road and Islam Pura Sunday Bazaars. The DCO inspected the quality and price of essential items. He showed satisfaction on over all condition of Sunday Bazaars. He directed Secretaries Market Committee to ensure the provision of best quality essential items on control rate.

Meanwhile, on the directions of DCO, District officer (Monitoring) Amin Akbar Chopra conducted raids at Shalimar, Islam Pura, Gulshan Ravi, Shera Kot, Johar Town and Model Town Sunday Bazaars. Chopra cancelled 5 Stalls due to selling substandard food items and imposed Rs 14,000 fine. Moreover, on the direction of DCO, food inspectors conducted raids at Model Town Iqbal Town, Ghazi Abad, Islam Pura and Shalimar Sunday Bazaars.

They issued 14 notices to shopkeepers on overcharging and selling substandard food items.
