MULTAN - With the decline in mercury following the first winter rain and snowfall in the hilly areas, the crises-stricken citizens have been hit hard by the low gas pressure and housewives have been finding it difficult serve the families with food. They have urged the authorities concerned to take pity on people and provide relief at the earliest.

The citizens in all most all areas of this city of saints are complaining about the low gas pressure, especially in peak hours. They are of the opinion that it has become very difficult to run kitchen due to low gas pressure. They maintained that they had to buy food from bazaar, especially for children due to the suspension of gas supply.

A citizen who introduced himself as Juniad, a resident of Chowk Kumharanwala informed that low gas pressure had elevated his expenses on food as he had to manage LPG which was expensive. He further informed that there were some areas in the city wherein the gas pressure was stated normal but people were in trouble in Chowk Kumharan locality.

A female teacher who is a resident of MDA Chowk, also expressed concern and stated that it was very difficult for her to prepare breakfast especially for her school going children.

When contacted the sui gas officials, they informed that gas pressure in different colonies was normal, adding that steps were being taken to improve the gas pressure in areas where people complained low gas pressure. They however informed that officials were also busy in maintenance work at different sites.
