LAHORE - At least four persons were killed and a young woman wounded seriously when two cars bumped into each other in the DHA area on Monday night, police and rescue workers said. Traffic police officials say that the road mishap took place due to over speeding and poor visibility during foggy weather. The accident occurred near Ghora Chowk (DHA Phase-III) outside HBL building late Monday night. A spokesman for the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) said that four persons died on the spot while a woman was shifted to the Shaikh Zayed Hospital, where her condition was reported to be critical. The deceased were identified as Tariq 23, his brother Ghulam Nabi, 35, Mishal Bibi, 20, Aneeza, 16. A 21-year-old woman identified as Anam Bibi sustained serious injuries. Soon after the tragic accident, police and rescue workers reached the spot and shifted the injured person and dead bodies to the morgue. Further investigations are underway.
