Activists of Wahadat-ul-Muslimeen, TNFJ and Hussaini Alliance on Monday took out rally from Markazi Imambargah Fawara Chowk to condemn the assassination of Allama Nasir Abbas Multani in Lahore on Sunday night.

Led by District Hussaini Alliance President Syed Hussain Ali Shah, the protesters holding banners and placards paraded the main thoroughfares raising slogans against the murderers. They later demonstrated in front of Press Club Hafizabad, demanding immediate arrest of the murderers and to provide them deterrent punishment.

While addressing the gathering, President Hussaini Alliance said that no Muslim can dare ruin peace of the beloved country and declared that Yazeedi forces were hell bent to destabilise the country to create wedge between different sects and pitch Muslim against Muslim to weaken the foundation of Islamic brotherhood. He demanded dismissal of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and called upon the Chief Minister to take stringent measures to put an end to murders of different religious scholars.  Later, the participants offered fateh for the departed soul.

In Toba Tek Singh, Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen activists took out a rally in protest against the killing Allama Nasir Abbas Naqvi of Multan in Lahore. It started from central Imambargah and culminated at same place after marching on Jhang Road. On the occasion, Advocate Rai Shahid Ali and Rizwan Haider demanded immediate arrest of the murderers in their speeches to the rally participants.

Meanwhile, in Multan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi condemned the killing of Allama Nasir Abbas, saying the government had completely failed to maintain law and order in the country.

In a statement issued here, he added that the PTI had been pointing out poor situation of law and order in the country since long but the rulers did nothing to crush the outlaws. He maintained that the murder was a big question mark on the performance of the government and a big conspiracy to spark sectarian riots in the country. He demanded the government to arrest the killers of Allama Nasir Abbas and evolve a comprehensive strategy to maintain law and order in the country.
