ISLAMABAD - Peshawar Region handed Lahore Ravi an innings and 39-run defeat in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2013-2014 sixth round Group-I match played at Arbab Niaz Stadium on Monday. Lahore Region resumed their second innings at the overnight score of 105-3 in 26.4 overs, requiring another 170 runs to avoid innings defeat, but they fell well short of achieving that goal, as their second innings folded at 236 runs in 110.1 overs. Jahangir Mirza played a brilliant knock of 72 runs while Kamran Khalid added 39, Ikhlaq Butt 35 and Wahab Dar 30. Jibran Khan clinched 4-32 while Amin and Afaq also took two wickets each. Earlier, Peshawar declared their first innings at 514-9 in 116.4 overs. Israrullah played an impressive knock of 222 runs.–Staff Reporter
