SIALKOT - The PML-N government is striving hard to provide maximum relief to the masses by ensuring early reduction in prices of vegetables, fruits and other daily-use items in the markets.  Law and Justice Standing Committee Chairman Mehmood Bashir Virk stated this while talking to the media during a visit to Sabzi Mandi here on Monday.
He inspected the quality and prices of fresh vegetables and fruits and said that there would be no comprise on the quality and rates, saying that hoarders, stockists and profiteers would be dealt with strictly.  He said that the auctions of fresh vegetables and fruits under the supervision of the district administrations across the Punjab would help bring down rates of vegetables and fruits in local markets.
While briefing him on the occasion, DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu said that the district administration had deputed as many as 52 Special Price Control Magistrates to check quality and prices of vegetables and fruits being sold at the local markets across the district.
