ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf today decided to end their countrywide sit-in protests.

“Due to the current situation in the country, we have decided to end our protests,” PTI chief Imran Khan told supporters in Islamabad.

“I was first hesitant to go for the meeting with Nawaz Sharif but decided to go in the interest of the nation,” Imran Khan said.

The decision to terminate the protests was made by the PTI core committee. Imran Khan said that the decision had been made in light of the shameful attack on a school in Peshawar.

The attack left 141 people dead, including 132 children.
