LAHORE - A group of 100 students and 7 faculty members from National University of Modern Languages (Numl) spent a day out with the Army at the Lahore Garrison, a press release said on Tuesday.
On the instructions of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, the programme titled ‘Know your Army’ has been initiated to make youth aware of the functioning of the military management and operational preparedness and defence capability. The programme started with wreath laying ceremony and dua at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, followed by a demonstration by the quick reaction force. The students also witnessed arms and equipment display.The day long programme culminated at flag ceremony at Wahga border post. A
The smart squad of Pakistan Rangers added to the enthusiasm and feelings of patriotism of students.
They evinced keen interest and commended the great sacrifices rendered by the soldiers in the ongoing war on terror. They also applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of Pak Army and thanked the Army Chief for providing them a life time experience and opportunity.  
Earlier, students from FC College, Kinnaird College, Punjab University, Government College University and University of Engineering and Technology and Lahore College for Women University spent a day out with troops.
