PESHAWAR- Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received a telephone call from his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, expressing sorrow over the carnage at the Army Public School in Peshawar.

During their conversation, Modi said that innocent children were killed in this act of terrorism, adding that he supported the Pakistani people in this time of sorrow.

Indians also took to twitter using the hashtag #IndiawithPakistan to show solidarity with Pakistan, following the brutal attack in Peshawar.

142 people, including 132 students were killed in the attack on the school which was claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif described the attack as a national tragedy and declared three days of mourning.
