Road to education

With the increasing use of technology it seems reading culture has died. But blaming technology for the non-existent of a reading culture is wrong. It is not the fault of technology that we see young people more attracted to phones and other devices. It is the fault of not having enough libraries. Everywhere around the world we see that public libraries are one of the best sources of getting books. However in Pakistan, this does not seem to be the case.
Only in Karachi do we have two know libraries that are Liaquat Library and Defense Library. Over all there are libraries that are either in ruins or on the brink of closing down. The need for more public libraries is therefore a must. Sure e books are the new form that can be carried around and accessible any time, but a book is something that cannot be replaced. Therefore the government should work towards building and restoration of public libraries.
