Plea against PM dismissed

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Saturday turned down a petition seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and ministers for alleged violation of oath, Justice Shahid Karim held the petitioner could not provide any evidence in support of his allegations.  Former judge of the Supreme Court Faisal Naseer Khan had moved the petition saying that all these parliamentarians made all efforts for their personal gain and miserably failed to protect fundamental rights of their voters and other citizens. He said that this conduct of respondents was sheer violation of their oath.–Staff Reporter
