LAHORE - The 16th Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Basketball Tournament 2021 organized by Usman Club and Firdous Ittehad in association with Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) will start today (Friday) at International Abdul Nasser Basketball Court Aram Bagh, Karachi. The tournament will be inaugurated by Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, Project Director, KW&SB World Bank. The winner of each group will qualify for the semifinals. Among the participating teams in the tournament are Karachi Basketball Club, Usman Basketball Club, Civil Tigers Basketball Club, Karachi Colts Basketball Club, Aram Bagh Basketball Club, Bounce Basketball Club, Mamba Squad Basketball Club, One Unit Basketball Club, Bunuria Basketball Club, Military Basketball Club and Patrician Starbucket Club. The final of the tournament will be played on December 25 - the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The founding nation’s birthday cake will also be cut under the KBBA.
