LAHORE One of the Lahore Polo Clubs prestigious tournament, the Punjab Cup, under Raaziq Group sponsorship banner, saddled off here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday. The tournament featuring seven top teams with the best available players of the country have the backing of some of the star foreign polo players from Argentina and England. And on the opening day, Askari General Insurance edged ahead of HSBC Bank by one goal difference. Equal on handicap of 14, AGI recorded seven goals, including five field efforts. Fernando Quinot Bourdieu was the man behind AGIs win with all the seven setters. On the other hand, HSBC Bank fought through Hissam Ali Hyder, who produced three goals while Gaston Moore also added the same number. Lucas di Paol and Tomas Pieres supervised the game. Kabaddi officials meet today The general council meeting of Punjab Kabaddi Association will be held today at 8 Club Road GOR Lahore at 12:00 pm. All affiliated members of Punjab Kabaddi Association from all over the Punjab will attend the meeting under the president ship of President Muhammad Arshad Jutt. All concerning matters, details and dates of Punjab Kabaddi Championships 201 will be discussed in the meeting.
