Rehman rules out compromise with militants

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik while ruling out compromise with militants has vowed to thwart all conspiracies, which are being hitched to destabilize Pakistan. He expressed these views while talking to Chief Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman here in Islamabad on Wednesday. Country's overall law and order situation, war against terrorism, rehabilitation of internally displaced people and matter of mutual interest were discussed in length during the meeting, sources informed Online. The Federal Interior Minister speaking at the occasion said that improvement of security, law and order situation was Government's top priority and available resources are being utilized in this respect. No comprise would be made with militants and war against them would be continued till their complete elimination, he said. Some elements have intention to destabilize Pakistan but democratic Government of Pakistan Peoples Party would thwart their design with help of masses, Rehman added. Federal Government, he said, would also play its role to improve law and order situation in war-hit areas of NWFP. According to sources, Maulana Fazalur Rehman while lauding the steps being taken by Federal Interior Minister for improvement of law and order situation in the country has assured his complete cooperation to him.
