Banker dies in car-train collision



KHANEWAL - A bank manager died in collision between a train and his car.
Abul Hasnat Anjum Saleem, resident of Kabirwala, was the manager at Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank, Katcha Khu Branch.
He was going to office on his car (KWB-5200). When he reached at a gated railway crossing near Chak no 13/9-R, he misjudged the approaching train and his car was smashed into the Faisalabad-bound Millat Express. He died on the spot.
On the report of Railway Police Khanewal, Makdoom Pur Police Station had started investigation. Majority of the railway crossings are without gate and gatekeeper all across the country which has caused several causalities. Last year dozen of innocent students were died in the similar accident between school van and a train near Mosinwal tehsil, Mian Channu, district Khanewal.
