ATTOCK - Difah-e-Pakistan Council leadership on Thursday strongly opposed the likely restoration of NATO supplies to Afghanistan and vowed to resist the move while considering it a humiliation for the Pakistani nation.
The Difah-e-Pakistan Council’s leaders including its Chairman Samiul Haq, Maulana M Mohawia Azam, Maulana Ameer Hamza, Maulana Faizur Rehman Khalil, Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Tahiri, Maulana Aslam Shiekhupuri, Maulana Sultan Mehmood Zia, Maulana Abdul Salam and Hafiz M Siddique while addressing a well-attended public gathering at Liaquat Ali Khan hockey stadium said that restoration of supplies to the US-led NATO forces in Afghanistan would be fully opposed.
Commenting over the alarming situation in Balochistan, they alleged that Israel, India and US are involved in hatching conspiracies to control Balochistan province.
They further said that for this purpose, 40,000 Indian spies have entered Balochistan to fulfil their nefarious designs, causing 1971-like situation in the province. They said that thousands of Pakistani citizens are disappearing which like Aafia Siddiqui, were handed over to the US by the security agencies.
Later on collective prayers was offered for country’s sovereignty and prosperity. They said that the International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) had deliberately attacked the Salala post killing 24 Pakistani soldiers. ‘Now how the supply to the NATO forces would be allowed by the government through airspace’, they stated.
The Difah-e-Pakistan Council demanded that Pakistan should refuse to reopen supply routes for NATO forces in Afghanistan.
They said they will stage a sit-in at Islamabad on Feb 20th against the drone attacks and for closure of NATO supplies on permanent basis.
They also demanded resignation of Defence Minister for allowing NATO supplies.
‘We would sacrifice our lives for country’s defence and to protect it sovereignty from any aggression’, they said. They said that US was taking revenge from the Muslims due to its defeat in Afghanistan.
