DRA to ensure medicine quality: NPA


LAHORE – The Advisory Committee of National Pharmaceutical Alliance has said that this was a positive step by Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces to pass the Drug Regulatory Authority Bill. The meeting of the Alliance was held here on Thursday, which was attended by Khawaja Shahzeb Akram, Khawaja Muhammad Akram, Mian Misba-ur-Rehman, Mian Asad Shuja-ur-Rehman, Mian M Zaka-ur-Rehman, Usman Khalid, Kashif Sajjad Sheikh and other owners of Pharmaceutical Industry.
Khawaja Shahzeb Akram said that the officebearers of National Pharmaceutical Alliance on the platform of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association took initiative for composition of Drug Regulatory Authority Bill and fruitful outcome has arisen now. He further said that after execution of DRA at federal level, check and balance of quality of medicine would be monitored and incidents like near past would not be happened again.
