KARACHI - Various religious parties on Sunday demanded the government to arrest the Taliban committee members for the TTP’s terror attacks across the country.
At a conference on the sacred life of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), Sunni Ittehad Council’s Allama Faisal Azizi, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s Allama Ahmed Iqbal, Minhajul Quran’s Tasbeeha Shafiq, Dr Bilqees Siddiqui and Zahra Najafi said that Islam is the religion of peace and enlightenment, and opposes compulsion in religious matters. “The Taliban have tarnished the brightest face of Islam by imposing on gunpoint the illogical doctrine of insecurity and hatred in the name of Islam,” they added. They said that Islamic governments never pardoned and held talks with the terrorists and insurgents. They vowed that Muslims would not tolerate Taliban’s anti-Islam ideology, and Pakistani nation is on the same page against terrorism.
They said that the ongoing dialogue process was no a solution to the terrorism and the government must launch a military operation to eliminate terrorists. They said that teachings of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) and Holy Quran emphasise on tolerance, love, fraternity, harmony, peace and sanity. They said that Muslims remain merciful in social affairs but Taliban are ferocious terrorists. They said that terrorist attacks on Sunni and Shia Muslims, mosques, Imam Bargah, shrines, churches and temples were all in clear violation of Islamic teachings.
The religious leaders said that following the true teachings of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) is the only solution to rid Pakistan of problems. They said that terror attacks continued during the talks; therefore it was clear message that Taliban would not renounce terrorism. They said that cases of over 50,000 martyrs of Pakistanis should be reopened and Taliban terrorists must be awarded capital punishment for the massacre of innocent people.
They said that the government would not be able to justify the arrest, detention and punishment to any criminal if the rulers pardoned the ferocious terrorists.
They said that neither the Islamic laws nor English laws allowed pardon to the perpetrators of terrorism and massacre.
They said that the TTP committee members continued to defend the banned outfit; therefore, they should be arrested and tried for the TTT terror activities for being abettors in the crime. They turned down talks with the terrorists. They urged the government to choose between the Islam of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) and Taliban’s brand of Sharia because these two could not go together.
They warned that the nation has tired of the government’s inaction against the Taliban. They said that the country’s constitution has clearly declared private militia illegal; therefore the PML-N government should also be tried for violating the constitution, as the rulers are trying to legitimise Taliban terrorists.
