ISLAMABAD - Olympian M Karim won gold in the giant slalom category of Korakuram Cup 2016, while Turkish skiers Halit Seylan and Jan Bostan secured second and third positions respectively in Naltar on Tuesday. Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) spokesman Obaid Ur Rehman Abbasi said it was bad luck for hot favourite Jan Bostan but he fell down on the sloop unfortunately but recovered soon, however, his slipping on the sloop cost him dearly compelling him to finish third. Bostan had already won gold in slalom category the other day. Karim took lead in both runs and got gold for Pakistan. Meanwhile, PAF ski team won the national ski championship 2016 with two golds, one silver and one bronze medal. Karim bagged gold in both slalom and giant slalom category. Army remained runners-up with two silvers.
