London Metropolitan Police hand back Altaf Hussain's passport

LONDON: The London Metropolitan Police has handed back Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s passport which the law enforcement agency had taken under its custody earlier during the investigation of a money laundering case in which Hussain has been implicated.

According to the MQM Spokesperson, “The passport has been returned while the MQM leader has also obtained a form for Pakistan’s visa as Hussain has decided to visit his home country.”

The MQM Spokesperson further informed that Pakistan’s High Commission will be contacted for the visa to the country.

He said that that Rabita Committee’s meeting will be called soon for the approval of MQM chief’s return to Pakistan.
