KASUR: Describing kite-flying as a bloody sport, Kasur DCO Salman Ghani have asked the parents to refrain their children from this dangerous fun.

He warned that the law would take its course and violators of the Kite-Flying Act would be dealt with sternly. He said that stringent measures are being taken discourage the killer kite-flying. “A vigorous crackdown has been launched on the manufacturers, sellers and flyers of kites and those indulged in the business of kites, its string and twine will not be spared,” the DCO reiterated his resolve.

He said that no leniency would be shown to kite-flyers and action would be taken against the violators without any discrimination.

KHIDMAT CARDS LAUNCHED: A meeting regarding launching of Khidmat Cards was held here, which was presided over by the Kasur DCO.

The meeting was attended by among others ADC Muhammad Shahid, AC Kasur Wardah Mashhood Shorish, AC Chunian Sh Muhammad Salim Khalid, AC Pattoki Muhammad Nawaz Gondal, AC Kot Radha Kishan Sarmad Taimur, DO Social Welfare Abid Ali Jattala, Deputy DO Social Welfare Muhammad Akbar Raza and Deputy District Health Officer Dr Abdul Nasir Gohar. All the district officers presented their progress report and 2,428 disabled persons out of total 7935 were given away Khidmat Cards while distribution of the cards to continue.–Staff Reporter
