Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif Saturday said that people will vote in coming general elections on the basis of performance.
Addressing a workers' convention in Lodhran, the PML-N president thanked the people for his party's victory in the NA-154 by-poll.
"You have proven that decisions are made by voter's thumb not the umpire's finger," he said. "You have restored the sanctity and respect of vote."
Nawaz Sharif said the incumbent government provided cheap electricity and fertilisers to farmers.
"We launched power projects and ended load shedding besides eliminating terrorism in the country and restored peace in Karachi and else where in Pakistan," he added.
