LAHORE - A large number of businessmen and political personalities have announced their support for the candidates of National Pharmaceutical Alliance for its election due for January 18, Monday. Political Advisor to CM Punjab Malik Pervaiz, Provincial Minister for Education, Excise and Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Provincial Minister for Information Technology Farooq Yousaf Ghurki, Dr Saeed Elahi, Dr Asad Ashraf and Zaeem Qadri have announced their full support to the candidates of National Pharmaceutical Alliance Asad Shuja-ur-Rehman (Schazoo), Khawaja Shahzeb Akram (Mass Pharma), Ijaz Ahmed Siddique(Himont), Shafiq Abbasi (Novamed) for the elections of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Association to be held on Monday (tomorrow). According to a press release issued on Saturday, they said that the Punjab government would play its role to resolve problems being faced by Pharmaceutical Industry. Moreover, former President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Anjum Nisar, Chairman PIAF Irfan Qaiser Shaikh, Vice Chairman Iqbal Baigh Chughtai, Chairman National Pharmaceutical Alliance Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, Vice Chairman Khawaja M Akram and other representatives of pharmaceutical industry have also shown their support for these candidates in the said elections. Meanwhile, Khawaja Shahzeb Akram and Asad Shuja-ur-Rehman said that after winning the election, they would serve the pharmaceutical industry. Like past, they will continue their struggle to resolve the issues being faced by the Pharmaceutical Industry at present, they added.
