Shahbaz extends Turkey visit

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has extended his visit to Turkey for one day. Now he will stay in Istanbul till Sunday (today). He decided to extend his visit after meetings with organisations of traders and investors of Turkey especially Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbas who invited him to visit projects of civic amenities and offered technical assistance in such projects by his country. The chief minister met with authorities concerned for reviewing solid waste management and transport system during his stay in Istanbul on Saturday. He was informed that 40,000 ton garbage is collected in Istanbul daily and 29 mega watt electricity is being produced with it. The chief minister paid rich tributes to the mayor of Istanbul on this occasion and said that politics is the name of service and if politicians do not serve the masses then their status is useless. Mayor of Istanbul said he will send a team to lend a hand in keeping the Lahore clean and will himself visit the City.
