ATC again summons Mush in judges case

ISLAMABAD - Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad Thursday deferred the hearing after the counsel of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf sought some time for his appearance before the court.
ATC Judge Atiq-ur-Rehman conducted the hearing of judges' detention case and adjourned the proceedings till January 27 by summoning Musharraf to appear before it on the next hearing.
During the hearing, Ilyas Siddiqui Advocate representing Musharraf appeared before the court and informed it that his client was sick and admitted at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) for treatment. Therefore, he requested the court that Musharraf could not appear before the court. The opponent lawyer contended that medical certificate should be presented before the court if Musharraf was admitted in the hospital. At this juncture, the court directed the counsel of Musharraf to present him before the court till 12:00pm. Later, Ilyas Siddiqui sought some time to present the former president before the court. On this, the court deferred the hearing till January 27 with aforementioned directions.
