SARGODHA - Punjab Minister for Zakat and Ushar Malik Nadeem Kamran visited the University of Sargodha to review security measures. Punjab Industry Secretary Arif Anwar Bloch and Sargodha DCO Saqib Manan accompanied the minister.

Spekaing on the occasion, the minister said that the Punjab government was utilising all-out resources to protect life and property of the common man, adding that foolproof steps had been adopted in this regard.

Malik Nadeem Kamran pointed that the University of Sargodha was one of the important institutions therefore suitable measures should be taken to avert any mishap on its premises. The minister highly appreciated the security measures presently adopted by the university.

On the occasion, UoS Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Akram Chaudhry briefed the minister that all security guards of the university had been put on alert to ensure security of 28,000 students at the varsity.

Meanwhile, Dr Akram Ch informed the DCO about the university requirement for lady constables to safeguard female students at University of Sargodha, who are comparatively large in number.  UoS Registrar Brig (r) Rao Jameel Asghar, Dean Dr Ghulam Yaseen and Resident Officer Dr Masood Sarwar Awan were also present on the occasion.
