LAHORE- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today took notice of the petrol crisis in Punjab. Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced the reopening of CNG stations in Lahore due to acute fuel shortage.

The fuel crisis got worse as most of the petrol pumps dried up. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in Saudi Arabia to visit ailing King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The massive protest on social media also pushed Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who proposed the federal government to activate CNG stations in light of the growing fuel demand.
