Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the nation will have to win war against terrorists whatsoever as the option of failure does not exist.

Talking to the journalists here at his residence on Friday, he said that it was not appropriate time to criticize judiciary, adding that the PPP accepted military courts half-heartedly. “Although we’re opposed to these courts, we’ve accepted them because of the prevailing situation and their demand in current time,” he explained. He asserted that the country would have to win war against terror at all costs as there existed no option of failure.

He said that it was responsibility of the government to implement national action plan and the Prime Minister looked serious on this topic. “We’ll have to unite in war against terrorists. The government and army are on the same page as far as operation Zarb-e-Azb is concerned,” he added. Answering a question, he said that the re-publication of sacrilegious caricatures was a highly condemnable act and it badly hurt Muslims’ sentiments across the world. “The government should get its protest recorded at international level,” he suggested.
